The latest Pop Up Pub held in The Wolfords Village Hall on Saturday was another success with over 50 folks in through the evening including young families.

Twenty two meals were served. Last guests left at close to 11.00 pm. The surplus made will go towards the fighting fund to reopen the Fox and Hounds.

An interesting experiment this time was to change the beer from the traditional barrel to an assortment of 12 bottled beers from across the country including, Hob Goblin, Banks, Jennings ,IPA . It and the beer went down well and we’lll probably repeat this format.

The success of the evening provides further evidence that the Fox and Hounds must be re opened and with the right approach can attract a good local crowd. It’s down to atmosphere and a warm welcoming approach from mine hosts.

As Summer approaches we hope to hold future Pop Ups in other venues possibly in a marquee in Great Wolford. More news on this to follow.
